I'm trying to get my phone to work for blogging... not having luck as of yet! That way I can post pics of my work etc. I came upon this article.... Lady Ga Ga gets an art column... Really? Sorry if you are a fan....I am not a monster. For those of us in John's Seminar class... I suspect that even if I had had the space to spread out these ideas on separate canvases, the work would have proceeded on a single format alone, in as much as I felt the painting had to experience its own life-span in time

Reading the Complete Artist's Way: Creativity as a Spiritual Practice, Julia Cameron.

732 pages!!! Can't seem to sit with a book like this and read page to page... I've been skipping and hitting pages here and there. I'm excited to feel like I am starting to connect with an "old friend," spirituality. It's all good.

Tomorrow I am having my first BIG crit with my committee .... brinG IT! :)))

the clay will not conform to what I want it to be!!! maybe today it'll have a better attitude!

in painting studio for a while...then back at the two larger clay pieces......

all STILL quiet in the painting studio.

Starting another new painting today....the other is in a 'drying' stage. Excited about these next paintings...the colors are very different from the last 'memory series' and are from a new memory. time will tell.

Yesterday was a great day in the ceramics studio....I was able to get alot done......refired Derec's exchange piece ....I think it looks pretty good!

I started throwing 2 larger pieces...although I don't think they are as big as I want them to be....I feel like they will be an inbetween size....if that makes sense....but I'm ok with that....i will learn from these two pieces and carry that knowledge onto the larger ones! Besides....my wrist and fingers are beat up! ah youth..... why are you wasted on the young?!

Monday morning....spring break begins... studio is empty and I love it! Re-firing (very slowly) Derek's bowl.....working on the other pieces now.....inspired by a day at wegmans.....

Starting 3 new paintings... finishing up 5 others. *crossing fingers* it's gonna be a good week!
